Air-fryer halloumi
By using an air fryer instead of a grill or frying pan, you can reduce the fat content of halloumi. If you prefer, you may add smoked paprika or mixed herbs for an additional flavour boost.

Ingredients
- 225g halloumi, cut into 6cm x 1cm thick slices
- 1 tsp olive oil
- 1 tsp smoked paprika, mixed herbs, or other flavourings (optional)
Directions
- STEP 1
You should heat your air fryer at 200 degrees for two minutes. Using kitchen paper or a clean cloth, pat the halloumi dry before brushing or rubbing it with oil. Add salt, pepper, and any flavouring, if desired.
- STEP 2
In the air fryer basket, place the halloumi and cook for 8 minutes until it begins to brown. After 2-5 minutes, flip over and continue cooking until crisp and golden. It may be served separately or with a salad of your choice.
