Ingredients
- 2 rib-eye steaks, around 260g each and 3cm thick
- 1 tsp oil
Directions
- STEP 1
Pat dry the steaks using kitchen paper or a clean cloth to remove excess moisture. Brush the steaks with oil, ensuring they are evenly coated and generously season them with salt and freshly ground black pepper.
- STEP 2
Preheat the air fryer at 200°C for 2 minutes. Place the seasoned steaks into the air fryer basket and cook them for 6 minutes. Flip the steaks and continue cooking for an additional 2 minutes. This cooking duration should result in a steak cooked to a rare to medium-rare level. For medium steaks, cook them for an extra 2 minutes and if you prefer them well-done, cook for an additional 2 minutes beyond that.
- STEP 3
Take out the steaks from the air fryer and transfer them to a plate, allowing them to rest for approximately 3-4 minutes. This resting period is ideal for preparing a sauce, if desired.
